General Warranty Coverage

Warranty Period & Eligibility
TimberCam Solutions provides a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects for all Ghost Bark™ products.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal, intended use.
Replacement components such as mounting screws, straps, washers, or stencils may be provided; however, the customer is responsible for all associated shipping costs.

Ghost Bark™ products are warranted for one year from the original date of purchase.

What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to damage caused by:

  • Misuse, abuse, improper installation, or modification
  • Exposure to extreme heat, fire, solvents, or chemicals
  • Normal wear and tear associated with long-term outdoor deployment
  • Damage resulting from wildlife, livestock, or environmental impact
  • Brittle, dry-rotted, or degraded materials on products older than one year

If a product is older than one year and delamination or material separation occurs, TimberCam Solutions may—at our sole discretion—offer repair services depending on condition and inspection results.

If the material is found to be structurally compromised or irreparable (e.g., severe degradation, dry rot, or significant damage), the warranty will not apply, and the item will be returned to the customer.

Submitting a Warranty Claim

To file a claim, customers must:

  • Complete the Ghost Bark™ Warranty Form (available on our website).
  • Provide valid proof of purchase.
  • When directed, ship the product to:

Ghost Bark Warranty Department
We will supply the return address once your warranty claim number is approved and issued.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs to the repair facility.

Repair or Replacement Determination

Upon inspection, if a product is deemed defective under warranty terms, TimberCam Solutions – Ghost Bark™ will determine whether to:

  • Repair the item,
  • Replace it with the same or comparable model, or
  • Return the product without repair if it does not qualify under warranty.

All decisions regarding repair or replacement are made at the discretion of TimberCam Solutions™.

Care and maintenance of your Ghost Bark Cover

Product Care & Maintenance – Ghost Bark™

Ghost Bark™ covers are built for long-term field use, but like any specialized concealment gear, proper care will extend performance and lifespan. Follow the guidelines below to keep your cover in optimal condition.

  1. Long-Term Storage

To prevent premature aging of the latex and laminate:

  • Store Ghost Bark™ indoors, in a cool, dry, shaded environment.
  • Avoid storing the cover in direct sunlight, high heat, or inside a hot vehicle for extended periods.
  • Always remove soil, organic debris, and moisture before storing.
  • Keep the product uncompressed—do not fold or crush long-term.
  • If storing for the off-season, place the cover inside a breathable bag or container to prevent condensation buildup.

Proper storage significantly slows natural latex oxidation and keeps the cover flexible for years.

  1. Cleaning Instructions

Routine cleaning ensures the cover stays realistic and free of contaminants that could cause issues down the line.

  • Clean using lukewarm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
  • Do NOT use harsh chemicals, solvents, acetone, alcohol-based cleaners, or petroleum-based products—these will degrade latex.
  • For stubborn debris, use mild dish soap sparingly.
  • Allow the cover to air-dry completely before reinstalling or storing.
  • Never use pressure washers or abrasive tools.

A gentle cleaning approach prevents surface wear and preserves texture.

  1. Temperature & UV Exposure Guidelines

Ghost Bark™ is field-tested across multiple seasons and environments. However, extreme exposure can shorten the lifespan of any latex-based concealment system.

Recommended operating conditions:

  • Temperature Range: –20°C to +35°C (–4°F to 95°F)
  • Avoid: prolonged installation on dark surfaces in extreme heat (e.g., metal poles, burnt trees)
  • UV Exposure: The cover is UV-stable, but long-term deployments in direct sunlight will gradually lighten the shading—this is normal and mimics natural bark aging.

Pro Tips for Longevity:

  • When the camera is not in use, bring the cover indoors rather than leaving it year-round.
  • Rotate high-exposure trees annually to even out UV stress.
  • If you operate in high heat zones, inspect the cover occasionally for early signs of drying.

  1. Safe Repainting & Touch-Up Guidelines

Field repainting is expected—trees don’t keep the same colour all year, and Ghost Bark™ is designed to be tuned to its environment.

Use only:

  • Flat camouflage spray paints
  • Rust-Oleum® or similar quality paints
  • Colours appropriate for the bark type (khaki, earth brown, flat white, charcoal, etc.)

Repainting Rules:

  • Apply light coats, never heavy saturation.
  • Always repaint on location for the most accurate colour match.
  • Keep the can 8–12 inches away to avoid clogging texture.
  • Let the paint dry fully before reinstalling or storing.
  • Avoid paints containing aggressive solvents—these can soften or damage latex.

Touch-up shading is cosmetic only and will not void your warranty when done correctly.

  1. Additional Care Tips
  • Inspect your strap and mounting area periodically for wear or animal damage.
  • If using staples, ensure they are 9/16″ or smaller and avoid over-driving them.
  • Do not attempt to “peel” the cover off forcefully—remove staples carefully using pliers.
  • Avoid dragging the cover across abrasive surfaces (rocks, concrete, metal).
  • Never expose the latex to open flame, heaters, or prolonged direct contact with Oil/DEET insect repellents.

Ghost Bark™ is tough, but treating it like real equipment (not disposable decor) ensures a maximum service life for years.
